  • Check Calendar on website; if open, request your dates on the form above the calendar; your request must be confirmed by Ellen or Carol
  • Please download & sign a Liability Release Form for each and every visitor;  email to Ellen or give them to her when you pick up keys, linen and any supplies to go to cabin.
  • NO smoking inside or outside the cabin.  No cannabis - see federal rule.  Campfires and  briquet BBQs are not allowed.  Propane BBQs ok in cleared areas only with a valid California Campfire Permit
  • You are expected to know and understand the Cabin Instructions.  Please review and ask for clarification before you go!  Download the checklist if you just need a refresher
  • Check Directions before you go if needed
  • Please review Cabin InventoryTips, Tricks & Recommendations & Manuals & Info - Download if you wish but all are available in the Cabin Manual at the cabin
  • Check with Keith & Carol before making repairs or improvements
  • There is NO cell reception, internet access or phone at the cabin.  The Hume Lake Christian Camp administration office offers internet for a fee as well as mail & UPS delivery - but you must coordinate with them!

User Contribution Schedule

Basic expenses (USFS permit, property taxes and utilities) now cost nearly $4000/ year.  The cabin owners have made a substantial investment in repair & maintenance of the cabin and ask that all cabin users contribute a small amount to help care for the cabin.

Contribution request (effective 2014):

McCrary Family Members:

  • $10 per person per night
  • $10 per dog per night

All Other Parties:

  • $50 per visit, plus
  • $15 per person per night
  • $15 per dog per night

Because children cause as much wear and tear as adults, each child counts as a person. Children under 3 are not recommended for safety reasons.

Dogs are welcome at the cabin only if absolutely no evidence remains of their visit.
