Hume cabin inventory as of 4/24/2024
Appliances:
- Refrigerator with very small freezer
- 4 burner range, oven accepts pan up to 13” x 14”
- Small microwave
- Coffee makers: French press, 2 small pour-over drippers with filters, old stovetop drip
- Antique toaster - works great, never leave it unattended while using
- Vintage waffle iron - new cord, works great
- Weber BBQ & Blackstone griddle: use only on non-flammable surface outside. Both use propane canisters - please bring replacement. Leave the BBQ & griddle at
least as clean as you found'em. Store in shed! Check with USFS whether you need a permit.
- Wood cookstove – use responsibly & only if you know what you're doing!
- Heaters - 1 modern, 2 renovated vintage Use carefully - the silver one gets HOT!
- Hibachi, toaster oven, hot plate and electric frypan were removed for safety reasons
Kitchen is equipped with dishes, silverware, glasses, mugs, knives, utensils, pots & pans, baking pans, mixing bowls, towels, seasonings. Note kitchen towels in third drawer in
kitchen, cleaning rags in bottom drawer.
PLEASE DO NOT USE VINTAGE MIXING BOWLS OR PLATES IN MICROWAVE OR OVEN!!!
Beds, bedding & towels:
- Bedroom: 1 queen bed with mattress pad, 2 sheet sets in box under bed, 1 sheet set in Hume bag, 1 down-alternative comforter with cover (please use a topsheet), one down alt
blanket/throw stored under bed, 4 pillows in shams
- Loft:

- 2 extra-long twin beds with foam toppers & mattress pads – convertible to standard king (80x80). If used as king, bring your own mattress pad, fitted sheet & blanket or
comforter - ask for instructions!

Sheets for loft beds: 3 fitted xl twins, 1 fitted king, 2 flat kings (can be folded to use as top & bottom of twins), several misc
sheets.
- 6 + pillows, extra pillowcases, shams on most pillows for dust protection
- Look for clean blankets in loft attic & under beds
- Bath towels, hand towels & washcloths in bath closet & under bed in small bedroom but you may want to bring your own
- 2 Beach towels
I rarely see the Hume bag so I don't know what is in it
Pantry items:
Salt, pepper, seasonings, vanilla, baking soda, sugar, tea, coconut oil (for frying & castiron pans)
There is no flour, pancake mix, popcorn or dog food – please don't leave any food
General - usually fully stocked:
Matches, napkins, paper towels, paper plates, foil, baggies, plastic wrap, parchment paper, dish detergent, sponges, laundry detergent, bleach, Windex, Simple Green, Brasso, soap, toilet paper,
bathroom cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, batteries, garbage bags, kleenex, bug repellent, bug killer, mouse traps, ant stakes
Maps, park brochures, cabin guest books, guide books and vintage reading material are on the bookshelf in living room
Puzzles, games & books are stored under bedroom bed
Not inventoried: plumbing repair items, tools, firewood, paint, boating supplies
